Advisory Board

Our advisory board consists of 6 experienced and knowledgeable individuals from a variety of unique backgrounds. They give valuable strategic advice to our Directors and Management Team with the purpose of helping our organization fulfill its mission. Learn more about each of them below.  

 
Daniel was born in Germany but moved to Canada a number of years ago. As the former Chief Culture, Design and Creative Officer at Shopify, Daniel has strong business development skills and is experience in user interface design, user experience, company culture and strategy. He now spends the majority of his time composing music and working on projects with his company Blue Pacific Studios, which he co-founded with three friends.  


Peter is responsible for leading and inspiring a world-class team at WaterTAP to facilitate Ontario's economic advantage by capitalizing on the province's thriving water sector. He also lectures in finance, entrepreneurship and innovations courses as an adjunct faculty member in the undergraduate and MBA programs at the Queen's Smith School of Business. 


Susan is skilled in leadership, community partnership development and collaboration, program development, project management and funding acquisition. She has created, implemented and managed over 15 programs and related curriculum to meet community and target audience needs. Susan has earned a number of National and Provincial awards for the positive impact she has made on over 5000 youth, motivating them to success. 


Laura currently lives in Brussels, Belgium. She is a highly committed, multilingual teacher with over nine years of diverse and international teaching experience, including second-language teaching, teaching according to an experience-based education program and teaching at the University level. Laura's practices are founded upon one simple criterion: offering an all-inclusive, student-centered learning environment in which all students are encouraged to learn in a way that is meaningful to them.


Chief Fraser joined the Brockville Police Service in 1998. He has held a number of different positions including breathalyzer technician, mountain bike officer, intelligence/drug officer, Staff Sergeant in change of Criminal Investigations and Inspector of Operations and Support Services. In 2006, Scott also attended the 226th session of the FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia. He was the only Canadian among 250 attendees. Chief Fraser also currently holds the rank of Pipe-Sergeant with the Brockville Police Service Pipes and Drums.

 
James currently resides in Toronto, On. As the President of Willingdon Advisors, James has expertise in a number of different markets, incuding business diplomacy, risk advisory, strategic counsel, mining and metals, power and infrastructure, and trade and investments.
